Governor Kulongoski has directed his Chief of Staff, Chip Terhune, to
visit coastal communities to listen and engage in a conversation on the
topics of marine reserves and wave energy projects. We realize that
Chip will hear from those who support establishment of reserves or
energy parks, as well as from those who are concerned about possible
negative impacts to the economic viability of coastal communities.
These visits in January are intended to provide opportunities for input and feedback from local government and other parties from coastal communities. Please be aware that there will be follow-up outreach performed by various members of the Governor's staff in addition to this tour. |
