The Midcoast chapter was organized in 1998. They actively pursued angler education posting educational signs at boat launching sites on the Yachats River. The chapter was also involved in the broodstock program on the Alsea River. These and many other activities continue on today.
Like all other chapters most our funding comes from donations and annual fundraiser's, including raffles held each Winter. Tax Deductible donations can be made care of West Coast Bank, North Newport branch. or sent to us at P.O. Box 1551, Newport, Oregon 97365

• Coaching young & old alike to develop and better their fishing techniques • Host the Annual Free Fishing Weekend locally in participation with ODFW Our first Kids Fishing day at Big Creek Reservoir continues to be quite a success. Fishing Derbies! Keeping with the tradition of being angling enthusiasts, each year the chapter hosts fishing derbies open to all active members. As a member you can participate in our many other activities including: • Summer and Winter Drift Trips • Razor and Bay Clamming excursions • Perch Fishing Derby • Annual Picnic and Casting Contest |  |
