Whiskey Creek Volunteer Hatchery Fin Clipping partyMembers participate in the annual fin clipping of chinook at the Tillamook Anglers Whiskey Creek Volunteer Hatchery

The Tualatin Valley Chapter has a rich history within the Association. We're dedicated to accomplishing the mission of the Steelheaders and are especially interested in providing volunteers to endeavors that will result in better fishing and fisheries.

We're very proud to be heavily involved in ODF&W's S.T.E.P. Our members meet regularly on coastal rivers to perform projects such as refurbishing boat launches and slides, fin clipping juvenile steelhead and salmon, river clean ups and other projects deemed necessary

Marve Welt with a couple young men at Kids Fishing DayChapter member Marvin Welt, an ODFW certified Aquatic and Angler Education Program Instructor, teaches a couple of very interested young men the basics of a closed face spinning reel. Kids!
The Tualatin Valley chapter is dedicated to kids. We provide volunteers for Free Fishing Weekend each year and both the children and the members come away with fond memories of great times on the water. The last few years we have met at Hagg Lake in the foothills of the Coast Range and we're proud to be back there again in 2007! In 2006 we volunteered for the state's largest kids event at Bonneville Dam where over a thousand children were introduced to fishing. See you June 9th at Henry Hagg Lake!
